The first teams game was called off this week due to the english summer.
I wish the 2nd teams game had been as well. After batting for the full 53 overs we could only amass a mere 145, with Matt Maskell making an uncharactoristly slow 40 to top the scoring. Bragbury got off to a fine start and quite easily crused past the total with 8 overs to spare.

Both teams won in the league on saturday. The first team travelled to Wheathampstead to take on there 2nd team and bowled them out for 142 with Mikey the pick of the bowlers taking 5/21. In reply we got of to a very shakey start and at one stage we were 4/20 until Mikey again stepped up to the plate with a fine 52 to lead us to a 3 wicket victory, and we are now 4th in the league.
The seconds were home to Abbots Langley III's, and after a career best bowling performance from Mark Lenton taking 7/50 we bowled them out for 95. After another shakey start to the innings we were 4/30 at one stage, until Mark again came through big time with a fine 46 not out, to lead us home to a 4 wicket victory, and we are now 5th in the league.

NEW SEASON GETS UNDER WAY MAY 4th
The Hertfordshire Cricket League has released its fixures fo the up and coming season. The are available in there entirity on there web site www.hertfordshire-league.org.uk .Or if you just want to view our fixtures just click on the fixtures link on he left. They are for both the 1st team (Div 5) and the 2nd team (Div 11). Sunday fixtures will be posted as soon as they are finalised.

OUR GROUND IS FINALLY READY TO GO.......

Bill and Stoksy are our new part time groundsmen, and have done a great job on the ground as well as there 100's of helpers who have given up there weekends to help out.
